This work deals with the characteristics of the area of European importance of the Brezovské Carpathians, a description of the state and species composition of habitats with the primary importance of wooden components of vegetation. In the case of forest habitats, also by evaluating the favorable status of the habitat and determining the "mark" of the status of the habitat, using the methodology of the manual for determining the favorable status of habitats and species of European importance. The main goal of this work was to make a map of habitats overlapping the territory of European importance of the Brezovské Carpathians, filling in forms describing the state of the NATURA 2000 habitat and finding out the favorable state of forest habitats. The area of European importance of the Brezovské Carpathians is an area rich in biodiversity located in the eastern part of the Dobrovodská basin. In it we can observe a speciesrich mosaic of meadows, shrubs and forests, with a high social value. A total of 21 different habitat types were recorded during this work. The majority (59%) is covered by forests and grassland habitats (25%). Most forest habitats are in good to excellent condition. The biotope of linden-maple rubble forests can be considered the most valuable for their favorable condition, species diversity and occurrence of the hitherto unrecorded taxon Geranium lucidum.
