The aim of the diploma thesis is to propose innovations to increase the efficiency of the company. The work in the theoretical part deals with the basic characteristics of the issue and uses the analytical-synthetic method to characterize creativity, invention, innovation, the process of innovation and its phases. It summarizes knowledge about the project and project management, project goals, its life cycle and phases, presents basic knowledge about efficiency in the company. The result is a theoretical basis for the issue. In the next part of the diploma thesis, the characteristics of the company LESY SR are processed, and through the analysis of the initial situation, we approached the activities in transport and handling in this company. The following part of the diploma thesis defines the design of an innovative project for the implementation of the GPS system as a tool for change and application of electronic processes in traffic management. Expectations of innovations are expected for increasing efficiency in the company and benefits are presented. Modules are described, necessary integration into existing information systems of the company. The implemented project belongs to the category of large projects and therefore it is necessary to apply the methods of network PERT diagram and subsequent determination of critical paths by CPM method. A Gantt chart is used to control the entire project. Based on the existing facts of the GPS system implementation, the advantages of the solution and the proposed recommendations for implementation are presented.
