The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the economic efficiency of logging and wood concentration. The diploma thesis approaches the issue of production and technical process in forestry. Subsequently, the individual phases of the production-technical process in forestry are defined. After defining the individual phases of the production-technical process, we also solved the factors influencing the performance of mechanization means. From the economic point of view, the theoretical part also deals with the definitions of economic terms, such as economic efficiency, production factors, economy and profitability and cost allocation. The diploma thesis deals with the economic efficiency of the use of forest machines in logging and approaching of wood. The practical part of the diploma thesis deals specifically with economic analysis by comparing two types of machines New Holland TL 100A, ZTS LKT 81 Turbo in three types of mining, namely thinnings up to 50 years, thinnings over 50 years and renewed minings. Economic efficiency was evaluated on the basis of a comparison of unit costs (depreciation, labor costs, fuel costs and repairs). By analyzing the costs, we quantified and confirmed that the New Holland TL 100A machine can be used effectively in thinnings over 50 years. The ZTS LKT 81 Turbo brand machine is most suitable for use in renewal minings.
