Analysis of the occurrence wolf of prey (Canis lupus) in Levoča hills, Master thesis. Technical University of Zvolen, Faculty of Forestry, Department of Applied Zoology and Wildlife Management. My diploma thesis is focused on the analysis natural conditions of the area of interest in Levoča hills, their composition, structure, division, soil conditions, forest cover and other factors influencing the number of wolf of prey in given area. In the next part we focused on a detailed description of the biology and ethology of the wolfs of prey in Slovakia, focusing on theyre distribution and density in our selected area of the Levoča hills. Subsequently we focused on their monitoring and analysis of the occurrence wolf of prey in the last period in the investigated area. Comparison of data from two consecutive winters of the academic years 2019/2020 and 2020/2021. Monitoring of transition routes in two pre-marked transects. Tracing the tracks and other residential signs, their number and type. In the last part we focused on comparing our results with the data of other authors researching comparable habitats wolf of prey.
