The subject of this thesis is a design proposal of a nursery building situated in a peripheral zone of Podunajské Biskupice. The building is positioned in such a manner that it easily reachable not only for inhabitants of present day built-up area but also the future planned residential areas so it has maximum possible utilization. The inspiration for the solution of material was the well-known game "puzzle" which is known to children very well. It is a combination of three simplified pieces of this game that are put next to each other and subsequently raised to an appropriate height. Similar principle was applied in the solution of the space in front of the nursery building. Ecological materials were used for the construction, mainly wood. As an addition walls from soil respectively soil and straw which are capable of air moisture regulation were used to provide not only comfortable and pleasant environment but also healthy air to breath. The building of nursery has a passive standard. Controlled air-conditioning is inbuilt to provide heating or cooling down of the object as well as a boiler to provide hot water and floor heating in chosen rooms. An interesting fact is the connection of the building to a root WWTP (Waste Water Treatment Plant) which is one of the reasons of children Eco-teaching implementation.
