In this thesis, I focused on an architectonic design proposal of an object -- a mountain hotel with a low--energy standard, utilizing primarily natural materials. The hotel is situated in ski resort Mojtín, which belongs to the mountain Strážovské vrchy. The hotel is located on a position of a foregone mountain log -- cabin, which was demolated after a fire. This proposal emanates from cabin's conjectures as well as from the relatively narrow layout of the parcel. The utilization of existing engineering networks and minimalization of new parcel areas for construction are significant advantages. The roof structure for machines producing technical snow, the ski tow station, sport playfields and playgrounds for children, parking lot, zones for relaxation, and the artificially created water surface used for technical and recreational purposes are all part of the urban study. The capacity of the hotel is increased with the proposed apartment cabins, which are in hotel's administration. The architectonic solution of the objects does no derive only from the urbanistic concept, but also from the orientation of the main compass points and the view of the surrounding mountain landscape. Material-wise, this object is simple and compact, so it does not contrast, nor appears alienated, from the natural and rural environmnet, but rather is in harmony with it. The saddleback sloping roof, as the traditional typological element, is a manifestation of the respect to the peculiarities of the natural surroundings. The facade tile ("Eternit SwissPearl) is used for the roof covering with a goal to emphasize the austerity of the object. From the energy-ecological standpoint , these objects are designed in a way which minimalizes interference to the landscape , so that the concept fulfils the ecological and low-energy consumption conditions not only during the construction and usage of the building materials, but also during the operation of the premise itself. The energy-ecological concept draws mainly on passive and active utilization of solar energy , retention and usage of the rain water, on an ecological heating system by using a boiler for wooden pellets, on utilizing ecological, recyclable, quality building materials and in the lowest factor of building's form as well.
