The search for connections between design and free artistic creation from a historical point of view, but mainly with emphasis on contemporary creation in all its forms. This work is focused on design growing in free art, the field of contemporary art using design, a summary of the findings from the contents of the courses Studio -- Design I and II in the Institute of Machine and Industrial Design in the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Brno University of Technology, and an overview of the best student projects from this studio in past years, with commentary for each individual work.
