The aim of my thesis was to design a multifunctional building for different operations and uses, to design the underground parking for a neighbouring building and to resolve the courtyard. The designed building is situated in the centre of Bratislava -- the Nové mesto (New Town) part of the city -- and consists of five sections. The first section is made up of the garages for the entire building. The garage has three underground floors. The second section is intended for commercial spaces which are located on the first above-ground floor. The third section is designed for administrative purposes. The fourth section of the building, which includes the technical storey on which the technology intended for the operation of the entire building is located along with leasable storage space, is found on the fourth above-ground floor. The last five floors, a very important part of the building, are the housing units located on the fifth through ninth floors. The housing section is divided into blocks with independent entrances. The underground parking for the neighbouring building is a free-standing building which has three underground floors. A public park is located above the garages. During the processing of my work I tried to have all parts functioning together, thus forming a single unit.
