The theme of the final bachelor's thesis was to design an ambassador's residential vila of a random country for the use of a diplomat and his family. This type of building typologically represents a polyfunctional building which functions as private living for the ambassador's family and it also has semi-public representative rooms for occasions such as informal parties, banquets held at the houselord's residence. It was also neccesary to solve every detail during the design process according to all valid technical norms (building thermophysics, acoustics, fire resistance and building structures) as well as typological and spatial requirements besides the artistic idea of the building. The object was designed on a site situated in the Old-Town locality of Bratislava called Kralovske udolie (King's valley), from where, a breathtaking view of the Danube landscape and nearby austrian hills opens. The aim of the design was to summarize all the good parameters of the site and design a building which will represent its important function as well as to create a harmonic living environment for the family of the ambassador. The building consists of two cubic volumes representing the strictly divided functions, with cantilevered parts and great glass facades oriented to the southern landscape.
