The aim of this bachelor's work is to design a revitalization of the public area of Námestie Hraničiarov in Bratislava. The situation of the space subserves the passing, meeting and parking function. My ambition was to preserve these functions, make them more efficient compared to the current state and design a space that will be used for walking and motivate people to spend there some time. Determinants of Námestie Hraničiarov are its buildings, roads, public transport stops and zebra crossings. The design of revitalization is based on the relations between vicinity and the area of interest. It's conceived in the spirit of universal design and the full usage of the environment. The goal of this work was to gain valuable knowledge about designing public spaces and handling the project for building permission.
