The theme of my final bachelor work was the Project of Residential villa for ambassador of foreign country, located in Bratislava. The building is located in a prestigious residential area Pod Bôrikom, in Kráľovské údolie, where several embassies and residences took place. District is situated at the foot of the mountian Malé Karpaty, directly above the river Danube. Location provide panoramatic view of the river Danube and surrounding meadow forests with a view to Austria, adjacent to Kráľovslé údolie and Lafranconi Bridge. Slope allows the view and the terrain itself provides an interesting architectural design possibilities of the building. The placement of the building in this area highlights the private and important funtion of the building. The building combines a private function, living of the ambassador with his family, coupled with a representative function and the possibility of permanent living of the housing manager, butler. This section also operate independently, so that does not interfere with the function of the private part and the official part of the building, and vice versa. Therefore I conceived the object as functionally two, respectively three partially closed units that are in its external visual form designed as a whole. Functions of individual parts of the building are noticable only in the inner structure. I project the combination of two different materials on the fasade to complete the pattern of the building. I have projected the building in adequate size to parcel, to meet the strict criteria and conditions for the solution of this type of the building in conjuction to congruous exterior comfort of occupants and guests.
