The topic of the diploma thesis was an architectional proposal of the city hotel in the town BanskáŠtiavnica. The area is located on the board of the heritage area, adjacent to the panel houses.Once this used to be a buil-up area, but today is largerly unkept and doesn't use its potential.Thanks to its great location, area is becoming the entrance point to the historical part of the town.The new zone is arising here - Downtown Kerling, which connects various functions with theobjective to create more atractive surrounding and offer valuable spaces for everybody.One of theobjects situated in the new proposed zone is a hotel and a dependance. The aim of the hotelproposal was to offer as much as possible rooms to stay and also secondary functions for theguests, to make hotel more attractive. Except for the accomodation, the hotel offers more servicesfor the guests. There are conference rooms, multi-functional hall with the retractable seating andalso wellness and fitness. The architecture of the hotel is based on the urban study and the nexta im wa s t o c r e a t e f u l l y f un c t i o na l h o t e l s e r v i c e s .
