The aim of the graduation thesis is to create a proposal of a transfer hub concentrating different means of transport. It combines mainly railway station and unconventional aerial ropeway transportation but it connects also with public transport and automobile conveyance. Last but not least, it takes into consideration walkways and bicycle lanes. The station should help to strengthen the connection Bratislava - Vienna, as the station hub would assist passengers travelling between these two cities, as well. The project’s ambition is to become even a social-cultural center of surrounding part of Petržalka, because it accommodates attractive spaces for residents. The priority of the diploma work is to offer an architectural proposal of the railway station building, moreover, it tries to establish it in a broader context. Urban concept therefore contains besides the station hub, also additional constructions with a high-rise, as well as walking paths, small structures under roads of bridges and amenity planting. In addition, the graduation thesis suggests possible phases of construction realization. Their benefit consists in the possibility of starting with smaller interventions in form of a simple, almost monofunctional railway station hall and fewer foot trails. Subsequently, it would become a more sophisticated building complex with multiple functions and many footpaths with a vision of activating this area. The urban proposal is quite wide and complex, in consequence, the paths leading to significant destinations are accentuated with colored surfaces. Color differentiation ought to help people to orientate in the territory. I evaluate the objectives of the work as accomplished, because the proposal brings several interesting suggestions to the examined issue. The project seeks to incorporate itself into the surrounding urban structure in harmony, furthermore, it contains a vertical signal building and untraditional structure under roads leading to bridges. The final thesis ideas contribute also with flexible eventual solutions represented in possible gradual growth of the building phases. The construction works could end at several points, so there are proposed different possible solutions.
