The aim of the diploma thesis is to activate the territory around the New Market in Bratislava. This territory is specific to its location on the busy crossroad of the Trnavské mýto and the streets of two solitary buildings from the 80s - the New Market and the Union House, which became symbols and icons not only of the Trnavské mýto, but also of Bratislava. Since these objects have not been properly maintained and properly operated and are no longer working as they should, this work focuses on proposing a solution in terms of activating the territory, disabling and revitalizing the generous public space as well as supporting the function and functioning of the market itself, its architecture, concept and character.
