The new industrial revolution calls for improved digitization of manufacturing processes. One of the important topics for this, so-called Industry 4.0, is RFID technology. This master thesis focuses on implementing RFID technology into truck tires for Continental Matador Rubber, s.r.o. The aim is to develop automated processing and storage of data from laboratory measurements on tag readability into the proposed target database, and subsequently use this data for further analysis and data modeling with the purpose of optimizing the tag placement in the tire for easier readability of the tag. Methods used for data analysis and modeling are Correlation, Linear Regression (LR), Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Partial Least Squares (PLS), and Least Absolute and Shrinkage Operator (LASSO).
