The thesis deals with the topic of motivation of employees in the area of human resources management. We use nonparametric methods to investigate the issue in statistical analyzes. At the beginning of the work, we dealt with the theoretical background of the issue as human resources management and employee motivation. In the second part of the thesis, we have selected the most preferred motivational factors, which are discussed in more detail, using statistical analyzes. On the basis of selected motivational factors, we compared how employees evaluate their current motivation in employment and how they think they should be motivated. In the last part we looked at the motivational factors from the point of view of completed education, where we studied the dependencies between them. The results of the thesis showed that employers should focus more on the desired state of motivation factors, as it differs greatly from the actual situation. In motivational factors, workplace communication, a superior attitude, a fair employee assessment and a basic salary have been confirmed by a statistically significant dependency, with completed employee education.
