The bachelor thesis focuses on the motivation of employees in the company. The focus of our work is the motivation of teachers. The scope of the work consists of basic information about the motivation of Slovak teachers as well as the motivation of foreign teachers. We focused on the importance of motivation, the importance of motivation for teachers, the influence of public administration and school management on motivation, teachers 'perception of teaching, influencing motivation by performance evaluation, motivation as a type of development and personal progress, increasing teachers' motivation through cooperation, but also the decline of motivation depending stress in the workplace. The practical part of the work deals with the analysis of the level of motivation of Slovak teachers and its division into the required and actual state. We also compared the actual and desired state of motivation of Slovak teachers between the sexes. The aim of the analysis was to determine satisfaction with the already realized motivation, together with finding out what motivation teachers prefer.By summarizing the results based on the analysis, they present the conclusions of the research interpreted at the end of the work together with a proposal to improve the level of motivation and performance of the teacher.
