The presented dissertation presents the results of your research in the filed chipples cutting wood , including the propsed experimental stend. It has been reviewed issues and the current state of chipless cutting wood by delimbing knives. After processing a theoretical analysis of wood processing mechanisms in forestry and other studies in the field of logging machines, we designed and compiled a methodology for experimental measurements. The methodology of the work precisely describes the implementation of delimbing on the experimental stand according to the set parameters. Based on measured data, we statistically evaluated the effects of various factors. In experimental measurements, we focused on the energy intensity of delimbing knives with different angular geometry and the same material. As a variable we chose the cutting force Fc which we will observe the subsequent dependent factors (delimbing knife, wood diameter and wood), whose effect we also evaluated in terms of wear cutting edge of the delimbing knife. Statistical evaluation we conducted first using one-way analysis where we analyzed the data and performed the Levene test to ensure the suitability of the analysis of variance. Based on the statistical evaluation, we found that the interaction has a branching effect and wood has an interaction, so we evaluated it in more detail. The statistical results show that there is a big difference between the average mean value of the maximum and minimum cutting force 2.58 - 3,48kN, which was caused by the fact that wood is an inhomogeneous material and we reject the null hypothesis of equality of max. cutting force at the given 2 trees Spruce and Scots pine. Delimbing knife No. 1 can be defined as the most suitable from the point of view of energy, because in its application in the delimbing process, the smallest cutting force Fc 3.1 kN was needed on average to separate the branch from the tree trunk. When depractions the wear of the cutting edge, the knife no. 1 wears the fastest, resulting in an impact force acting on the cutting edge of the knife. From the evaluation it is clear that the delimbing knife No. 2 did not show signs of wear after experimental measurements, therefore we can say that in terms of durability, this knife is the most suitable.Energy intensity when using the knife No. 2 is an order of magnitude higher, the maximum cutting force is on average 3.3 kN, which resulted in less wear on the cutting edge. Delimbing knife No. 3 needed the greatest cutting force during the branching process in order to cross the boundary of the separation of the branch from the trunk. The maximum cutting force for knife No. 3 is 3.5 kN on average.
