The aim of this work was to analyze the achieved results related to the breeding of roe deer population in the Zvolen district over the past few years. The introduction of this work is dedicated to discussing the negative factors affecting roe deer population. In the following chapters the patterns of breeding and hunting of roe deers and other cloven hoofed game living in the district of Zvolen are taken into consideration. The work also evaulates the decrease of roe deer population and also the quality of trophies in the Zvolen district. The final chapter is dedicated to a proposal of measures, which can contribute to improving the conditions of breeding roe deer population in the district of Zvolen.
