Anna Vilhanová, PhD.The subject of the master thesis is the assessment of the skeleton elements of the upholstered sofa for the user with a higher weight and the design of the structural solution of the problematic elements. In the introductory parts of the thesis there is a literary overview of the issue of the material base of the seated upholstered furniture. The experimental part of the thesis is devoted to the assessment of selected load-bearing elements by calculating the deflection stress at impact load. It also proposes a design of a problem element. The results section provides an assessment of the suitability of the using the selected skeleton for the higher weight user as well as the economic assessment of the proposed design solutions.
