The topic of this bachelor thesis are technical forensic methods, which are used in solving offenses related to the environment. An important step in the investigation is the identification that we can realize from the traces found by the perpetrator in the offense. Technical methods are scientific procedures that are used to identify us, either by identifying the person who committed the crime or by the thing that was used in such proceedings. The task of the bachelor thesis is to get acquainted with these methods better. Methods of identifying persons include forensic anthropology, forensic biology, dactyloscopy, genetics, odorology, and methods for identifying things include mechanoscopy, ballistics, phonoscopy, trasology, metallography, electrical engineering, pyrotechnics, and forensic chemistry. The aim of this work is to prove, by means of the pathological procedure used in determining the height of a person, whether a given method is feasible in practice and its results are identical with the actual height of the measured persons.
