Bachelor work adresses the issue of pumps used in firefighting practice in Slovakia. This work aims to introduce the basic kinds of pumps used in firefighting practice. It describes their construction design, physical principle of operation and use. Another goal of this work is also a detailed description of irrigationequipment –vacuum pumps. The practical part of the work is focused on two fire trucks types, CAS and AHZS. Specifically on CAS 30 Tatra 815-7 6x6 and AHZS 1B Mercedes Benz Atego 1529 AF 4x4. One of the partial goals of the work is to find out their currentnumber in HaZZ SR. The practical part of the work is complemented by other sub-objectives, such as a brief introduction to the manufacturers CAS 30 Tatra 815-7 6x6 and AHZS 1B Mercedes Benz Atego 1529 AF 4x4 and a description of their construction design, technical and tactical parameters and possibility of use, along with detailed description of built-in pumps. The main goal of the bachelorwork is to compare CAS 30 Tatra 815-7 6x6 and AHZS 1B Mercedes Benz Atego 1529 AF 4x4, based on processed data,the advantages and disadvantages observed from the practice of firefighters. From the results of the set goals, it’s possible to classify the mentioned fire trucks as ones of the most used of its kind in KR HaZZ of the Slovak Republic. Both fire trucksare a benefit for HaZZ SR. However, it is important to know the conditions under which they were designed to make their use in interventions as effective as possible.
