On the basis detailed study of the relevant literature, the morphology, area of distribution, demands on environmental conditions, harmful factors are discussed in the work, resulting in knowledge about the intraspecific and geographical variability of the taxon. In the following, attention is paid to the building of the Borová hora Arboretum, in which individuals of various origins of white fir are planted. The methodological part describes the methodology of measuring and evaluating individual features, which will be evaluated in the subsequent thesis. Finally, the importance and role of the investigated taxon in forest ecosystems and landscapes is briefly summarized.
