Corporate culture can be understood as a specific system of assumptions, ideas, values and standards of behavior which have been adopted and developed in the company and have a great influence on the thinking, acting and performance of employees. Our object is to identify differences in the perception of corporate culture in selected industries.In the first, theoretical part of this script, we characterize the terms including the definition of enterprise, culture, corporate culture, the origin, development, function and strength of corporate culture. In the practical part of this script we focus on the analysis of the perception of corporate culture from the perspective of employees of selected industries. We compare the actual and required level of corporate culture using the OCAI (The Organizational Culture Assessment Instrument). The results show that a hierarchical corporate culture is currently applied in the timber, construction, agricultural companies and forestry industries, which is characterized by a formalized and structured work environment emphasizing the fluent running of business processes.There are differences in the perception of corporate culture in companies of engineering industry.The results of the research show that a clan corporate culture is currently applied in these companies, which is characterized by collective leadership and team thinking. In the future, employees working in all the surveyed industries agreed. They would welcome the direction to a clan corporate culture that combines success with employee care. For that reason, we recommend the management of the surveyed industries focus on employees, which can have a positive effect on the quality of work, employee efficiency and in the overall management of the company.
