Master thesis deals with the analysis of the theoretical aspects of start-ups, their significance for state economy and their connection to small and medium-sized businesses (rather micro and small-sized business). It also discusses the phases of setting up, validation and realization of business plan. The aim of thesis is to map the present state of financial and non-financial support of start-ups, for young entrepreneurs, from state and private or government organisations in the condition of the Slovak Republic. Practical part of thesis is focused on selected innovation start-up and theoretical opportunities of the support in the present conditions of the Slovak Republic.
