The assignment of the bachelor's thesis is the proposal of a new local office on Hraničiarská street in Čunov, on the land of the existing local office, which will be used in the future as a cultural and social community center. Currently, the spatial capacities and architectural elements do not meet the increasing requirements. The assignment should consist of the design of a new town hall for the location of all offices and a wedding hall. The proposed building should consist of one underground floor and a maximum of two underground floors. The design of the new town hall should respect the existing building of the community center and should be designed in accordance with the principles of design for all. It should also provide space for a quality working meeting of the administrative staff of the town hall with the possibility of the added function of a wedding hall. The aim of the proposal is to create a building that will be in harmony with the surrounding buildings and its concept will be based on broader urban and spatial-compositional contexts. The aim of my proposal was to create a meeting space, to create a square for gatherings of marriages and the public, to preserve the playground and to design a gable roof that would fit into the surrounding development of family houses with sloping, mostly gabled roofs. My concept was to create two seemingly architecturally different objects in order to aesthetically separate these objects. Both buildings, and thus the town hall and the wedding hall, would have a separate entrance, and thus that there would be no intersection of the two operating streams. I decided to slide part of the wedding hall into the ground, with the proposed top lighting through the skylight in order to create an intimate atmosphere in the wedding hall. The advantage of this solution was mainly a smaller built-up area, the creation of a square and a larger illuminated area of the land as if it were built.
