The master thesis deals with ecosystem services and the effects of these services on the quality of life in the area. Specifically, the diploma thesis deals with cadastrial area (cadastral territory) of the village Mýto pod Ďumbierom. Since the village of Mýto pod Ďumbierom is used by 2/3 by tourists and 1/3 by the domestic population (2/3 houses are used as accommodation facilities and 1/3 houses are used for housing), it was very interesting for work. The work is not only focused on ecosystem services as such, but how and whether it affects the attractiveness of the municipality and thus increases tourism. From the usual division of ecosystem services based on Burkhard et al. (2009, 2012) this master thesis focuses on cultural, regulatory and supply services. These are described and discussed in more detail in the work. The methodology was chosen based on the work and tables of Burkhard (2012). The result of the work is a description of selected ES services and the creation of maps. They indicate to what extent these services are represented in the territory and whether one service is more important than others.
