The aim this bachelor's work is the idea of the effective use of sewage sludge and at the same time an effort to prevent advanced damage to the environment. Chapter 1 describes wastewater sludge, contamination and gradual treatment of sludge. The individual chapters include the possibilities of recovery, which include the use in agriculture as organic fertilisers and thier consequent impact on the environment, the assessed state of management at present and how they are used in Slovakia and in the countries of the European Union. Furthermore, possible ways of obtaining raw materials and energy that are used abroad. In last chapter are processed data from specific locations in Slovakia from Western, Central and Eastern Slovakia.
