The bachelor thesis deals with the possibilities of pumping water from natural water sources across the Banská Bystrica region to extinguish forest fires. The thesis describes procedures and options of pumping water from available sources using all available forces and resources and adequate firefighting equipment. In the next part, the bachelor thesis deals with transporting water over a long distance from the place of pumping to the location of a fire. It points to the number of units and resources needed for extinguishing fire successfully on the specific example. The tactical exercise use gained theoretical knowledge from a local environment to point out the intervention's difficulty, preparation, and all variabilities. In the end, we counted the number of forces and resources need for prompt and effective intervention.
