The aim of this Bachelor's thesis was to provide in a simplified form a detailed description of duties of all the parties involved in the employment relationship, as provided by law, labor regulations, and last but not least by the very employment agreement between an employee and their employer. In the introduction of our thesis, we explained basic terms regarding the subject in hand, as defined mainly in the Employment Code. After that, we addressed particular right and obligations, including the consequences of their violations and what many times seems to be an abuse of the position of being the stronger party to the relation (an employer), in particular, bullying and harassment, as observed in the selected workplace. In the conclusion of the thesis, we proposed possible amendments based on the findings from our research. These amendments should be aimed at improving an employer-employee relationship as well as providing greater protection of an employee, who in many cases appears to be the weaker party in the employment relationship.
