The bachelor thesis deals with the use of explosive chamber VK 100 for experimental determination of lower explosion limit. The lower explosion limit represents the lowest concentration of explosive atmosphere that it is capable of explosion after initiation, thereby highlighting the potential risk and gives an incentive to address explosion protection issues. The lower explosion limit of flammable liquid was determined and performed on the basis of experimental experiments in the explosive chamber VK100. We used acetone as the tested flammable liquid. We tested each sample three times for statistical evaluation and the results of the experimental determination we have compared with the acetone safety data sheet. When we working with the explosive chamber VK 100, we found its deficiencies and proposed improvements to the explosive chamber for more efficient, accurate and safer work with this laboratory equipment.
