The aim of the Bachelor thesis is to design the home construction with higher level of thermal-insulation. Basic division of construction systems in timber structures are defined in the theoretical part. Moreover, individual requirements for thermal properties of external construction of houses according to the standards STN 73 0540 valid since the year 2016 and 2021 are given in this part as well. Methodology used to assess construction thermal properties are mentioned and explained in following part. The research part deals with designing the house and evaluating the thermal properties of construction. Requirements for the designed house are compared. In the conclusion, energy consumption of the designed house is calculated and issue of the construction with higher level of thermal-insulation is summarised.
