This bachelor thesis is focused on technologies and types of boilers for biomass combustion and biomass waste. The first part deals with definition of biomass, its distribution, advantages and disadvantages. The second part illustrates in detail current overview of technologies that are used to generate energy from biomass. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on combustion technology, where the various ways of burning in boilers are defined. The main goal of the bachelor thesis is the analysis of technologies and boilers for biomass combustion, produced by a domestic company. The very last part is dedicated to project and design of the technology for biomass combustion in Slovak town Šahy with power 15 MW and is written in cooperation with company SES Tlmače a.s.
