The aim of my bachelor thesis is to discuss the issue of global warming and to deal with incoming problems reflecting on the health condition of forest ecosystems. We will work with the data we obtained from the meteorological stations SHMI Arboretum Borová hora (2nd vegetation zone) and the station Poľana - Mountain hotel (7th vegetation zone), for the years 2017 and 2018 during the growing season. These meteorological stations are at different altitudes (ABH-350 m n.m, PP-1264 m n.m), which also represent different vegetation zones, and specific climatological characteristics for them. We analyzed precipitation, average temperature, potential evaporation and global radiation in selected locations. The results are shown in graphs and description tables, followed by a conclusion on the presence of climate change. The results have shown that climate change is becoming more pronounced over time.
