In the diploma thesis we examined the surroundings of the crematorium, which is the source of environmental pollution by mercury in the territory of Kremnička. At a distance of 100 m and 1000 m, we collected samples of soil and samples of branches, assimilation organs, buds, caps and beech beech trees from the S, SZ, Z, JZ and Z sites. and evaluated in the program MS EXCEL and STATISTICA 7. Average values of mercury contamination in the soil were in the range of 0,2069 - 0,0257 mg.kg-1, in the branches 0,0301 – 0,0082 mg.kg-1, in the sheets 0,1107 - 0.0287 mg.kg-1, in buds 0.0072 – 0,0026 mg.kg-1, in caps 0,0071– 0,0033 mg.kg-1 and in bees 0,0041 – 0,0027 mg.kg -1. From the given values we stated that in all monitored directions from the crematorium there are higher values in the distance of 100 m than in the distance of 1000 m. Compared to the limit values, we found that the area around the crematorium in Kremnička is not contaminated with mercury.
