The subject of this bachelor thesis is the elaboration of the project a low-energy family house from the frame construction based on wood. In the theoretical part there are described functional requirements for wooden constructions and generally described frame construction system - basic division, history of frame constructions, currently used structures of constructions and most frequently used materials. In the practical part there is own design of architectural, dispositional and building solution (design of materials and structure of constructions) and elaboration of project documentation (drawings for building permit and a few realization drawings). For the family house, a balloon-frame column structure was chosen. Subsequently, the calculations for the thermal and technical properties of the packaging structures of the family house are processed. The result of this work are applied knowledge in a specicfic design of a family house. The uniqueness of the architectural design only demonstrates the variability of this building system.
