This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of characteristic details of wooden structures of the column system. In individual parts of the thesis not only the origin and history of the wooden column system is being presented, but also professional issues of the details of the project documentation or its subsequent realization. Resolving the details of joints, connecting elements and connection of structures is a crucial point of design and realization of construction. Details are generally considered as vulnerable element of construction, since incorrect or inappropriate design of construction details is the main cause of defects of wooden buildings.
