The main goal of this thesis is the phytosociological description of primeval forest Zálužná in Javorie territory as well as determination of localized biotopes. Further identification, floristic differentiation of present vegetation units and their enlistment into syntaxonomy system was made. Forest societies are situated in three altitude levels, in which four forest types were determined (FQ, QF til, F til, FQ ac). Overall I have managed to GPS localize 15 research areas. I have identified three biotopes. Biotopes Ls4 and Ls5.1 were confirmed, and I also added biotope Ls 2.1. The most common biotope, however, was Ls 4 – linden – maple slide rock forests. Further processing of phytosociology relevés was made in Turboveg for Windows and Juice software. I have refined the borders of fragment of virgin forest and proposed broadening of this forest. Significance of this thesis lays in mapping of primeval forests in Slovak republic and thus conservation of original ecosystems and diversity
