This final thesis divides unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) according to their construction and equipment. It is focused on sensing sensor and their workflow measurement the most. We can find here a short section about a history progress of these techlonogies. The most extensive part is introduced by drone use possibility, whether general, in various sector, or use possibility in forestry, to find out a cruising quantity, next for intensive forest management, for forest health condition monitoring and mapping. It further discusses about drone classification from the point of view of legislation and about their use restrictions. Conclusion of this thesis is dedicated to sensors usability and it is a view of drone application in Slovakia to future.
