The issue of the thesis deals with the deployment of forces and resources within the selected intervention district of the fire and rescue department. The main objective of the thesis was the proposal of a nationwide deployment of forces and resources within the intervention perimeter of the fire and rescue station in Martin. Main goal was reached by dividing the content of thesis to particular goals. In general, we have characterised firefighting units in selected countries, described the method of deploying forces and resources across the board, analysed the current state of the territorial district of the fire station and created a new proposal for the deployment of forces and resources based on the methodology of deploying forces and resources across the board. We focused on the need to create new voluntary fire brigades and their appropriate deployment in terms of distance and time of range to specific municipalities.
