Graduation theses focuses on coating systems manufactured by Remmers company on wood aluminium windows. We experimentally tested colour stability and resistance of coating systems against accelerated ageing with L* a* b* co-ordinates and gloss parameter. Every surface treatment has consisted of undercoating layer, middle layer and finishing layer or undercoating layer and two finishing layers. Five coating systems on spruce wood and six coating systems on larch wood were tested. A gloss quality in all tested coating systems has changed only marginally, either essentially the same or slightly worse values of gloss quality were recorded. The most resistant coating system in indoor conditions was coating system 4 with layers: GW-306 lignostab farblos + ZW-502i, LW-721/05 weiss lasierend applied on spruce wood and coating system 6 with layers: GW306 farblos+ 2x OW-810 applied on larch wood. The greatest colour change in indoor mode had coating system 1 with GW-306 farblos + ZW-502i + LW-715E/05 farblos layers applied on spruce and coating system 4 with GW-306 lignostab farblos + ZW-502i, LW-721/05 farblos layers applied on larch wood. In the exterior conditions the biggest colour change was recorded in the case of coating system 1 with layers GW-306 farblos + ZW-502i + LW-715E/05 farblos applied on spruce wood and coating system 4 with layers GW-306 lignostab farblos + ZW-502i, LW-721/05 weiss lasierend applied on larch wood. The best in colour resistance was coating system 4 with layers GW-306 lignostab farblos + ZW-502i, LW-721/05 weiss lasierend applied on spruce wood and coating system 1 with layers GW-306 farblos + ZW-502i, LW-715E/05 farblos applied on larch wood.
