The dissertation thesis reports a review of various known optimizing methods appropriate in the scope of designing, basics of technical tolerances and a description of possibilities to link used software. The process of design optimization is mentioned too and consequently applied. At the beginning of the thesis, the compound die set and the optimization problem, related to an optimal designation of manufacturing tolerances, are described. Moreover, the thesis includes an account of the procedure for achieving the solution of the optimization task with aid of Matlab, CREO Parametric and ANSYS Workbench cooperation. At the end, the achieved results are evaluated and the final task solution for stiffness increasing is stated.
