This thesis deals with thems concerning sacred architecture of erly medieval period in Slovakia, its renovation, restoration and interpretation its values in present. In this wide spectrum of problems, as well of methods and creative aspirations, we cruise from exact knowledge through hypotetic debats about extinct facts, through methodic and theoretic postulates up to creative reaktion by architect and artist. For resposinble discharge of this role, for an adequate aplication of competent intervetion into historical substance, is needed not only a pemsum of professional knowledge, personal invetion or creativity, but also mainly knowing this substance, its values, development periods, cultural layers of pastness and its internal reason. Knowing of pastness from the primary condition during whole the development's period should be implied basis for renovation and also for whatever interventing act in historical architecture or its torso. In the fist part are concisely denoted basic teoretical bases of sacred architecture, its specifications, ideological sources, symbolical senses and liturgical relations. Next part is devoted to questions about knowing of the oldest sacred architecture in the area of our national commonwealth -- graetmoravian architecture. Its historic -- religious context , streams of christianisation that influenced formation of this architecture are presented, also particular typologic spheres and characteristics of materials. In an independ review are described still known founds and archtectures in the Slovak region with their characteristics. Thesis try to determine possible demonstrations of older continuity in the early hungarian state, although used without calculated following to concrete historical period and mixing these sources with new inspiratory models. It specify possible typologic spheres of concrete features and demonstrations of this continuity. Next part is devoted to the problem of possible countenance by greatmoravian architecture -- hypotetic reconstructions. Actual admittances and opinions about the composition of forms as well expressional and formative image of this buidings are given, but it establish also new solutions. Crux of thesis are problems of renovation and presentation early medieval sacred architecture in Slovakia. At first it introduces general theoretic questions of methods and presentationally manners. It consicely shows development of methodic ways till to present and detailed cathegorisation of methods concerning monument restoration with aspect to presentation of cultural layers, that illustrates by internal examples. Following it descirbes detailed particular realised examples - present condition in case of the graetmoravian sacred objects and some examples of churches from the younger period, that give adequate material for specific questions relating possible arts of methods. The final corpus is a model example used by the church of St. Margaret of Antiochia near the village Kopčany, where the author has been cooperated in various researches nad methodic materials. At firs by help of new discoveries it actulisates for more detail etapisation of developmet and gives hypothetic reconstructions of phases. Based on findings it describes than some variants of method for the architectonic presentation this building namely particularly to exterior and interior. In the closure it brings the most important conclusions and accounts that result from separate chapters.
