The aim of the thesis was to find out the attitudes and preferences of consumers associated with the choice of new housing. At the beginning of the work, we processed the theoretical basis of the work, in the project part we conducted a survey to determine the preferences of respondents. We processed the obtained data using frequency and contingency analysis. The results showed that the most preferred and the best rated material for construction is a brick. People still believe in myths about wood-based buildings and have prejudices against it. Ultimately, most respondents prefer living in a house.
