Level of professional qualifications: Master, in brief „Ing.“. Zvolen: TU, 2021. In the diploma thesis we focused on the issue of innovation and its connection to the environment. The aim of the thesis is the analysis of the perception of a chosen ecoinnovation, a root zone wastewater treatment plants. In the theoretical part the concept of innovation is explained and its division with the aim to clarify the concept of ecoinnovation and its benefits as well as barriers. In the practical part of the thesis we focused on the analysis of ecological innovation, specifically root zone wastewater treatment plant, which is among ecological natural treatment plants and we also focused on the perception of this eco-innovation by respondents in the Slovak republic by means of the Kano model. The results point to low awareness of the respondents in this area, however with increasing interest in environmental aspects and benefits of this ecological innovation in Slovakia.
