The aim of the diploma thesis is the analysis of consumer behavior in the purchase of selected consumer goods with regard to their activities in civic life and attitudes to the environment. The theoretical part deals with the relationship between environmentalism and economics, sustainability, environment, consumer behavior, changes in consumer behavior caused by a pandemic. The second chapter contains the main goal and partial goals of the work. In the third chapter we define the methodology of the diploma thesis. In the analytical part of the diploma thesis there is a separate research in which the answers from 237 respondents were analyzed. Research has shown that respondents are aware of the topicality of environmental problems, but when shopping, only a small percentage of respondents, mostly women, consider social and environmental factors.
