The main objective of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the socio-economic factors of living standards and evaluate the current situation in the Orava region through a questionnaire survey. The work comprises a theoretical elaboration of the observed topics, such as the region, elements of micro and macro environment, quality of life, and standard of living. The empirical part of the thesis focuses on analysing the Orava region and monitoring the current situation in the selected region via a questionnaire survey. The results of the survey are used to evaluate the standard of living in the region. The resulting data were processed statistically, by percentage expression as well as graphical display in Excel. The section concludes with a summary of proposals for measures aimed to eliminate the negative effects identified in the survey and thus improving the living standards of the population in the Orava region.
