The work deals with measuring and managing the performance of the company, which is necessary in the current ever-changing economic environment to predict the future financial development of the company, improve the quality of production, increase competitiveness and strengthen a better market position. The aim of the thesis is assess the methods / indicators used by the company to measure and evaluate performance, to compare the performance of the researched company with the nearest competitor through benchmarking and to propose a more modern approach to performance management in the researched company based on the analysis performed in the company SLOVAL s.r.o.. The theoretical basis of measuring and managing the performance of companies are defined in the first part of the thesis. The methodology used consists of a study of internal company documentation, analysis of the financial situation, benchmarking method, analysis of the internal and external environment, an interview with the company's management and heads of individual departments and methods of description. The main contribution of this work is a comparison of the company with the competitive environment and projection of Balanced Scorecard methodology to the conditions of the examined company.
