The master thesis deals with the environmental strategies of the companies of four selected subjects, which represent the green marketing and the phenomenon of greenwashing. The aim of our work was to explain and evaluate the environmental strategies of selected companies that want to detect the impact of their activities on society and the environment. We will evaluate environmental strategies by their publicly available sustainability reports, which should to include the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) standards. In the first part of the thesis we collected theoretical information on the issue, in the next part we set goals and adequate methodology of the work, and at the beginning of the practical part we introduced the researched subjects. After studying the sustainability reports of companies, we prepared a list of Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) indicators. Then, we evaluated which report was the best and we compared the quality of reports among companies. At the conclusion of the practical part of the work, , we found that the companies in the sustainable reports focus more on the environmental sphere. And the most transparent and environmentally friendly company was IKEA.
