The aim of the Master thesis is to design a low-energy kindergarten with a modern log construction system. From the point of view of the ecological footprint during construction and the use of the building, this construction system is a suitable alternative to silicate buildings. The introduction of the Master thesis deals with the analysis of the issue of log cabins in terms of architecture, ecology and design principles. The main parts of designing the kindergarten were to elaborate the construction drawing portfolio, to design the critical construction details and to illustrate the energy balance of the proposed building.
